Visitor Relations, with the help of the 40-member MU Tour Team, conducts campus tours for more than 20,000 people each year, including 18,000 prospective students and their families. The customer-service-oriented office has a variety of responsibilities in addition to giving tours. Those include staffing a nationwide 1-800 number, answering questions about the University, distributing information and promotional items to campus departments and visitors, managing the MU Speakers Bureau and staffing the campus information site in Jesse Hall. The MU Tour Team is recognized as one of the most prestigious student groups on campus. The group consists of students in a variety of majors from all over the country.
